MINUTES OF REGULAR BOARD MEETING

April 8, 2024

Chairman Moody called the regular meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. It was noted that
Open Meeting Laws was duly posted. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all
present.
Motion by Flyinghawk and Seconded by Bolling to approve the agenda. RCV: Adema-
aye, Teadtke-aye, Flyinghawk-aye, Paulsen-aye, Bolling-aye, Moody-aye. Motion
Approved.
Motion by Teadtke and seconded by Adema to approve the minutes from the regular
meeting held on February 12, 2024. RCV: Teadtke-aye, Paulsen-aye, Flyinghawk-aye,
Bolling-aye, Moody-aye, Adema-aye. Motion Approved.
The following bills were presented.
Motion by Teadtke and seconded by Fkyinghawk to approve the bills as presented:
RCV: Paulsen-aye, Flyinghawk-aye, Bolling-aye, Moody-aye, Adema-aye, Teadtke-aye.
Motion Approved.
The financial report was presented. Motion by Flyinghawk and seconded by Teadtke to
approve the financial report. RCV: Flyinghawk-aye, Bolling-aye, Moody-aye, Adema-
aye, Teadtke-aye, Paulsen-aye. Motion Approved.
Motion by Bolling and seconded by Flyinghawk to accept with deep regret the
resignation of Jennifer Pritchett. RCV: Adema-aye, Teadtke-aye, Flyinghawk-aye,
Paulsen-aye, Bolling-aye, Moody-aye. Motion Approved.
Motion by Bolling and seconded by Flyinghawk to accept with deep regret the
resignation of Sharla Hanzlik. RCV: Bolling-aye, Moody-aye, Adema-aye, Teadtke-aye,
Paulsen-aye, Flyinghawk-aye. Motion Approved.

Motion by Flyinghawk and seconded by Teadtke to accept and approve the contract of
Lauren Heydon as 5 th grade teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. RCV: Teadtke-aye,
Paulsen-aye, Flyinghawk-aye, Bolling-aye, Moody-aye, Adema-aye. Motion Approved.
The following bid proposal was presented as a recommendation from Carlson West
Povondra for Board Approval.
Feimer Construction Yankton, SD
Base Bid $636,725.00 Unit 1+$25 per c.y. – $12 per c.y. Unit 2 +$53.00 per c.y.
Unit 3+$35.00 per c.y. Unit 4 +$128.00 per sq.y.
Motion by Flyinghawk and seconded by Teadtke to approve the bid on the Maple Street
Road Project as presented. RCV: Adema-aye, Teadtke-aye, Paulsen-abstain,
Flyinghawk-aye, Bolling-aye, Moody-aye. Motion Approved.
Motion by Bolling and seconded by Adema to pay Carlson West Povondra from Special
Building for $25,205.75. for service. RCV: Teadtke-aye, Paulsen-aye, Flyinghawk-aye,
Bolling-aye, Moody-aye, Adema-aye. Motion Approved.
The Principal Reports were given.
The Superintendent report was given.
Americanism Committee Meeting was reported.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:50 p.m. The next meeting is scheduled for May 8,
2024, at 6:00 p.m.
