MINUTES OF REGULAR BOARD MEETING

Chairman Moody called the regular meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. It was noted that LB898 dealing with Open Meeting Laws was duly posted. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all present.
Motion by Teadtke and Seconded by Paulsen to approve the agenda. RCV: Teadtke-aye, Paulsen-aye, Flyinghawk-aye, Bolling-aye Moody-aye. Motion Approved. Adema-absent
Motion by Flyinghawk and seconded by Bolling to approve the minutes from the regular meeting held on May 8, 2023. RCV: Paulsen-aye, Flyinghawk-aye, Bolling-aye, Moody-ayeMotion Approved. Adema-absent.
The following bills were presented:
Motion by Flyinghawk and seconded by Bolling to approve the bills as presented: RCV: Flyinghawk-aye, Bolling-aye, Moody-aye, Teadtke-aye, Paulsen-aye. Motion Approved. Adema-absent.
The financial report was presented. Motion by Bolling and seconded by Flyinghawk to approve the financial report. RCV: Bolling-aye, Moody-aye, Adema-aye, Teadtke-aye, Paulsen-aye, Flyinghawk-aye. Motion Approved.
Motion by Teadtke and seconded by Flyinghawk to approve the contract for construction of the Niobrara Public School Playground for the lumpsum bid amount of $327,950.00 to Dostal Construction. RCV: Adema-aye, Teadtke-aye, Paulsen-aye, Flyinghawk-aye, Bolling-aye, Moody-aye, Motion Approved.
Motion by Bolling and seconded by Paulsen to accept and approve the Niobrara Public School annual handbook review first reading for the 2023-2024 school year. RCV: Teadtke-aye, Paulsen-aye, Flyinghawk-aye, Bolling-aye Moody-aye Adema-aye, Motion Approved.
Motion by Bolling and seconded by Paulsen to approve the ESSERS lll retention pay of $3000 to teachers returning and $2000 to staff returning. Teachers-$1500/Staff-$1000 paid in September and second round paid in January. Administration and new hires will not be included. RCV: Paulsen-aye, Flyinghawk-aye, Bolling-aye Moody-aye Adema-aye, Teadtke-aye. Motion Approved.
Motion by Moody and seconded by Flyinghawk to approve the NASB Strategic Plan Propasal. RCV: Flyinghawk-aye, Bolling-aye, Moody-aye, Adema-aye, Teadtke-aye, Paulsen-aye. Motion Approved.
Administrative Reports were given.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:51 p.m. The next meetings are scheduled as follows: Special meeting June 26, 2023, at 5 p.m. Board work session July 5, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. Regular monthly board meeting July 7, 2023, at 12:00 p.m.
