MINUTES OF REGULAR BOARD MEETING

February10, 2025

Chairman Moody called the regular meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. It was noted that LB898
dealing with Open Meeting Laws was duly posted.
Chairman Moody roll called: Stark-present, Paulsen-present, Teadtke-present, Flyinghawk-
present, Bolling-present, Moody-present.
The Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all present.
Motion by Flyinghawk and seconded by Teadtke to approve agenda. RCV: Stark-aye, Paulsen-
aye, Teadtke-aye, Flyinghawk-aye, Bolling-aye, Moody-aye. Motion Approved.
Administrative reports were given.
Negotiation committee gave recommendations.
Motion by Bolling and seconded by Teadtke to approve consent agenda. RCV: Paulsen-aye,
Teadtke-aye, Flyinghawk-aye, Bolling-aye, Moody-aye, Stark-aye. Motion Approved.
Motion by Flyinghawk and seconded by Bolling to approve the annual Membership to Nebraska
Association of School Boards. RCV: Teadtke-aye, Flyinghawk-aye, Bolling-aye, Moody-aye,
Stark-aye, Paulsen-aye. Motion Approved.
Motion by Teadtke and seconded by Flyinghawk to accept with sadness the resignation of
Jenny Motacek. RCV: Flyinghawk-aye, Bolling-aye, Moody-aye, Stark-aye, Paulsen-aye,
Teadtke-aye. Motion Approved.
Motion by Flyinghawk and seconded by Stark to accept with regret the resignation of High
School Principal, Sarah Higgins. RCV: Bolling-aye, Moody-aye, Stark-aye, Paulsen-aye,
Teadtke-aye, Flyinghawk-aye. Motion Approved.
Motion by Teadtke and seconded by Bolling to accept and approve the contract of Hannah
Blomstedt. RCV: Bolling-aye, Moody-aye, Stark-aye, Paulsen-aye, Teadtke-aye, Flyinghawk-
aye. Motion Approved.
Motion by Teadtke and seconded by Bolling to approve staff negotiated agreement to increase
base pay to $44,000.00 for school year 2025-2026. RCV: Stark-aye, Paulsen-aye, Teadtke-aye,
Flyinghawk-aye, Bolling-aye, Moody-aye. Motion Approved.
Motion by Flyinghawk and seconded by Teadtke to approve a ten percent increase in salary of
Elementary Principal. RCV: Paulsen-aye, Teadtke-aye, Flyinghawk-aye, Bolling-aye, Moody-
aye, Stark-aye. Motion Approved.
It was the consensus of the board to speak with Bob Soukup of Carlson West Povondra as soon
as possible.
The Board Retreat is scheduled for February 11, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. The next meeting is
scheduled for March 10, 2025. The meeting was adjourned at 6:52 p.m.
